CoreTEK Industries Inc.

497B High Speed Network Surge Protection for Category 5E, Category 6 and Telco Applications with the Highest Strike Potential Device in the Industry

CoreTEK Industries, Inc. (CTI) provides state of the art avalanche diode and Gas Discharge Tube technology surge protection for ultra high speed clamping of damaging transient voltages on Category 5E, 6, Gigabit, Voice, and Data circuits.

The CTI Premise Wiring Series surge protectors incorporate the convenience of an RJ45 connector with a 110 punch down termination.   Both rack mount and wall plate models are available and may be mixed for multiple voice and data channels.

The Non-Premise Wiring Series consists of several types of termination. These units are available in a rack mount 16 port patch panel and a single unit, which attaches directly to the back of a workstation.

Available also in the Non-Premise product line are the DIN Rail and POE series, which are standalone enclosures in several configurations including 5E.

All units are available in both Normal (1,500 watt) and Performance (20,000 watt) Strike Potential levels. All units also are hot swappable boards, which provide protection from transients on all wires on each channel.

Lightning Fact:

Lightning Strikes create powerful radio waves in the frequency range of 3 KHz (audio, VLF) through 10 MHz (short-wave radio). The VLF (3000 Hz to 30000 Hz) "lightning signatures" can travel around the world, allowing monitoring of world-wide lightning. The short-wave "lightning signatures can travel half-way around the Earth (the night-time side of the Earth). The best region to listen for distant short-wave lightning signatures is from 2 MHz through 7 MHz. After 3 AM local time you can listen to 3 MHz and hear the beautiful dispersion-ringing of the static as it bounces back-and-forth between the earth and ionosphere. It can at times sound like hundreds of tiny bells ringing at once!
